Castille cow

cow-1

A very typical cow from the central Castille region of Spain. In fact, the image used in the photo header. Nicely pointed horns.

Cows are conventionally used to represent any animal on Spanish roadsigns.

However I did encounter a very rare deer roadsign in the southernmost tip of the province of Leon, near the valley of the Cea as I was on my way from Santa Cristina de la Polvorosa via Urones de Castroponce to Bustillo del Páramo de Carrión. Unfortunately the light was too bad to take a photograph. If anyone passes that way, I would appreciate a photo.
